Williamsburg Elementary Fall Fest Appeal
WES Families:
In case you may have missed it, on November 8th the WES PTO organization is going to be hosting their annual Fall Fest Carnival at the school. This year’s efforts will be directed towards raising funding for enhancements to the playground and playground equipment, something all WES students use on a daily basis.
This year’s Fall Fest “Under the Big Top” will only be successful with the participation of the entire WES family and the PTO has three important things for which we need everyone’s assistance.
First of all, mark November 8th on your calendar and plan on attending. There is going to be lots of family fun and activities that evening from 5pm to 8pm. There will be carnival games and prizes, a silent auction, a live auction and lots of good food. Bring your entire family for a night out and fun.
Second, get involved in your child’s classroom activities. Each class is being asked to donate a themed basket that will be auctioned off that evening at the end of the night. You should see something from your child’s teacher coming home in regards to the selected theme. Also, the Kindergarten, 4th Grade and 5th Grade are being asked to donate a baked good for the cake walk.
Lastly, if you are willing and have time, the PTO is looking for volunteers to assist with a variety of activities. There are volunteer spots available for 30 minutes each at the different game stations or in the concession stand. Volunteers are also being asked for during set-up prior to the Fall Fest as well as clean up.
The PTO appeals to each of you to come out and support our school in any way you can. If you have questions, please do not hesitate to call Angie Hollon, WES PTO President at 785-746-8855.
Please make sure you mark November 8th from 5pm to 8pm on your calendar and we will see all of you “Under the Big Top” at the WES Fall Fest.
Thanks.
